Sumatra Black Satin Coffee

Sumatra 'Black Satin' coffee is a rich and flavorful coffee with a fascinating history. Once considered lost, this prized cultivar was rediscovered after more than a century of being hidden in the jungles of Sumatra. The ancient Arabica trees were replanted near Lake Takengon in West Sumatra, which is renowned for its gourmet coffee production. This darkly roasted coffee offers a full-bodied and robust cup, characterized by mild earthy undertones. It has a low acidity, smooth texture, and a smoky aroma, culminating in a slight black pepper finish.
